Sup guys, welcome back to the blog! Today, I'll be sharing with you the greatest book ever written in the history of thriller fiction: "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown. This novel is one of the most controversial and yet riveting books I've ever read. Through the years, it has attained a cult following and is considered to be the finest work of the bestselling author Dan Brown, who also happens to be my favorite. His works are a revelation to many readers, and "The Da Vinci Code" is one such work.
As I got hold of this book, I had a premonition that it would be a historical fiction, but to my awe, it was an out-and-out thriller with a blend of history. The story starts with the murder of a curator at the Louvre Museum (where the Mona Lisa is preserved), and the main suspect is Harvard's symbologist Robert Langdon. As the protagonist is wrongfully accused, he sets out along with his partner, Sophie Neveu, to find the real killer and along the way, they discover hidden secrets of the famous polymath Leonardo da Vinci, and that's the plot of this novel.
This book is full of twists and turns, and what makes it so engaging is that the facts written in this book are based on actual evidences. At its core, "The Da Vinci Code" is a book about secrets – secrets that have been hidden in plain sight for centuries, protected by secret organizations. It sheds some light on the buried secrets of Christianity which were wiped out this world.
This book is the god of all suspense thrillers, and the best thing is that despite being a 500 pages novel, it never gets boring. This book is literally a page-turner. I personally have read this book twice, and despite knowing all the twists, it didn't fail to enthrall me the second time. It's an eye-opener to many, and since it offers condemning views on Christianity, it attracted a lot of controversy. However, amid all that, people praised the novel for it's unique story writing and the amount of research done by the author.
Trust me, folks, the revelation of the secrets behind Da Vinci's famous mural painting "The Last Supper" will leave you speechless. As you reach the climax, you'll be on the edge of your seat because there's a massive twist awaiting to blow your mind. If you start reading this book, you can't help yourselves but complete it as soon as possible, and at the end of the book, you'll become a fan of Leonardo da Vinci. Please give it a try and believe me you won't regret it. Happy reading .........
