"The Dead Poets Society": A Masterclass on Poetry and Passion.

Do you constantly question the mediocrity of life? Do you feel pestered by societal conventions? Do you feel your life slowly drowning into oblivion? Have you ever thought of seeking an escape from this inequitable world? Friends, if you have truly felt any of these things, then we are not so much different. I too feel the constant exasperation of society, but at the end, we have to endure it. However, that doesn't necessarily mean we have to be slaves to the drama around us. Instead, we can take control of our lives as we rediscover ourselves. The movie I'm going to suggest is all about that, finding your identity and living up to the things you believe in. So, Welcome back to another edition of the Vitaphiles Club. Today, I'm going to suggest an outstanding movie, "Dead Poets Society" directed by Peter Wier is a film that redefined the standards of Hollywood cinema in the late 80s.

The film begins with John Keating, played by Robin Williams, returning to the school where he was once a star student. This time, he returns as an English teacher and decides to devote his time to broadening his students' minds through the use of poetry and literature. He is warm, passionate, kind, and thoughtful, creating a healthy atmosphere for the boys and a safe space for exploring his ideas and mentality. "Carpe Diem" is the phrase he often uses to instill a sense of spirit in the young minds of the school. Too bored with their mundane lives, the students find utmost interest and fascination in John Keating's class. As the students find themselves drawn to Keating's charismatic teaching style, they begin to break free from the shackles of their routine lives, discovering a newfound sense of purpose and passion.

As the students' admiration for John Keating deepens, he shares with them a long-forgotten secret: the existence of the "Dead Poets Society", a mystical brotherhood of kindred spirits who found solace and inspiration in the beauty of poetry. The young lads, impressed by the idea, reinstate the society, as it becomes a cradle where they share poetry, discuss ideas, and thus truly find their passion in life. This movie is a stringent tale of art influencing life. There is a monologue in this movie that necessarily bestows the reason for the existence of life. As John Keating says: "We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race, and the human race is filled with passion. Medicine, law, business, engineering – these are noble pursuits necessary to sustain life, but poetry, beauty, romance, love – these are what we stay alive for."

This movie is full of such thought-provoking quotations, and the fact that it is filled with extracts from various poets really makes the movie more inspiring. Whenever I feel low in life, I remember the lines written by Walt Whitman: "O me, O life... That you are here – that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse."
These words remind me that every individual has a unique story to tell, a verse to contribute to the grand tapestry of human experience. Don't let fear hold you back; seize the day, find your voice, and contribute your verse to the world. "Dead Poets Society" is indeed a masterclass on poetry and literature and just wanted to add that the very idea of the Vitaphiles club is inspiration from it.

Please try to watch this movie at any cost, guys. "Dead Poets Society" has taught me a lot of things in life and influenced me to a great extent. As the line goes, "No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world." And truly, they have changed me and made me a better person. I hope it does the same for you.........................

Why Art is the essence of life?

Hola Amigos! Welcome back to the Vitaphiles club, where creativity meets passion! Today, I'm excited to dive into a topic that's close to my heart: why art plays an integral part in life. My friends, art plays a pivotal role in our lives, and we often don't realize that it influences us, knowingly or unknowingly, and showcases the beauty of true art. Here, 'Art' may have many interpretations; it doesn't necessarily have to be painting, movies, sculptures, etc. Even the most mundane things we do in life can be considered art, like cleaning our room, cooking our favorite dish, the books we read, travelling, romance – everything can be attributed to art. And folks, remember that these are the things that make our lives more interesting.

Our careers may give us little or no time to focus on such common facets of life, and that's the biggest mistake we make in life. As we can see, life is pointless without these things it is essential to recognize art's influence on life. Unconsciously, we constantly reciprocate the art we have come across in life, If we take a moment to look closely, we realize that very thing. No matter what people say, "a piece of art can change lives," and I gladly say that I have come across life-changing moments, be it an influence from the books I read, movies I watched, music I listened to, conversations I had with strangers, or posts from social media, etc. and they are life-changing in many ways. On that note, I'd like to highlight the often-overlooked gems on social media – the inspiring stories, thought-provoking quotes, and stunning visual content that can uplift and motivate us, but these posts are often overshadowed by the pointless ones.

Once we take a moment to introspect our lives, we can perceive that we are a manifestation of the ideas we believe in. As we realize this, we get a step closer to experiencing life, and one of the most powerful ways to tap into this experience is through the practice of art. When we involve ourselves in any art, we transcend boundaries; our brains are filled with ecstasy, and true purposefulness is attained.  You may have come across a famous reel on  Instagram where Sir Ian McKellen speaks about art, and believe me, guys, whatever he says is literally true. You may or may not find success in the process of learning an art. And that's the beauty of it: art is a journey we undertake for ourselves, untainted by external expectations or the pressure to succeed. It's a pure, unadulterated expression of our souls, and that's what makes it so incredibly liberating.

As we surrender to the creative process, we discover the liberating power of art. As we embark on this journey, life becomes a little more tolerable, and slowly we realize the true beauty of life, That's the whole philosophy of our club's Philosophy. Many movies (notably "Into the Wild", "Dead Poets Society", "Shawshank Redemption", "Apu Trilogy", etc.), books ("A Man Called Ove", "Tuesdays with Morrie", "A Thousand Splendid Suns", etc.), and music artists (A.R. Rahman, Bob Marley, etc.) have been the biggest influences on my life. I have garnered so much empathy from these and pardon me as I couldn't list out the other things.

As you finish reading this blog, I hope you'll carry with you a renewed appreciation for the transformative power of art. Remember, embracing art is not just a hobby or a pastime – it's a way of life. By incorporating art into your daily routine, you'll unlock a world of creativity, imagination, and fascination. So, take the leap, explore your artistic side, and watch as life becomes a more vibrant, captivating, and extraordinary experience..................

"THE DA VINCI CODE" - The God Of Thriller Fiction

Sup guys, welcome back to the blog! Today, I'll be sharing with you the greatest book ever written in the history of thriller fiction: "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown. This novel is one of the most controversial and yet riveting books I've ever read. Through the years, it has attained a cult following and is considered to be the finest work of the bestselling author Dan Brown, who also happens to be my favorite. His works are a revelation to many readers, and "The Da Vinci Code" is one such work.

As I got hold of this book, I had a premonition that it would be a historical fiction, but to my awe, it was an out-and-out thriller with a blend of history. The story starts with the murder of a curator at the Louvre Museum (where the Mona Lisa is preserved), and the main suspect is Harvard's symbologist Robert Langdon. As the protagonist is wrongfully accused, he sets out along with his partner, Sophie Neveu, to find the real killer and along the way, they discover hidden secrets of the famous polymath Leonardo da Vinci, and that's the plot of this novel.

This book is full of twists and turns, and what makes it so engaging is that the facts written in this book are based on actual evidences. At its core, "The Da Vinci Code" is a book about secrets – secrets that have been hidden in plain sight for centuries, protected by secret organizations. It sheds some light on the buried secrets of Christianity which were wiped out this world.

This book is the god of all suspense thrillers, and the best thing is that despite being a 500 pages novel, it never gets boring. This book is literally a page-turner. I personally have read this book twice, and despite knowing all the twists, it didn't fail to enthrall me the second time. It's an eye-opener to many, and since it offers condemning views on Christianity, it attracted a lot of controversy. However, amid all that, people praised the novel for it's unique story writing and the amount of research done by the author.

Trust me, folks, the revelation of the secrets behind Da Vinci's famous mural painting "The Last Supper" will leave you speechless. As you reach the climax, you'll be on the edge of your seat because there's a massive twist awaiting to blow your mind. If you start reading this book, you can't help yourselves but complete it as soon as possible, and at the end of the book, you'll become a fan of Leonardo da Vinci. Please give it a try and believe me you won't regret it. Happy reading .........
